This privately owned property falls within an important wellhead protection area for the village of Sanbornville and is within 1 mile of seven active public water supply wellheads. The property is host to a mix of forested wetlands, fields and upland forest habitat. The property is recognized by NH Fish and Game as containing valuable wildlife habitat and wildlife connectivity. Directly abutting 136 acres of conserved land including the well-loved Cotton Valley Rail Trail, the Ingrid Johannessen Albee Memorial Forest will help to continue to build on the growing greenway of undeveloped land in Wakefield.
