If you are 70.5 or older, your donations could be saving you more on your tax bill. MMRG donors who are 70.5 or older are eligible to make tax-free donations from their IRAs, known as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD), regardless of whether they itemize deductions on their tax returns.

New IRS rules for 2025 provide a direct incentive for tax-payers who do not itemize their deductions to make charitable contributions.
Tax-payers who take the standard deduction can now deduct cash contributions to qualifying charities up to $1,000 for single filers and $2,000 for married couples filing jointly.

MMRG eagerly entertains opportunities to receive gifts of property. These include undeveloped lots or those with existing structures. Gifts of property may be incorporated into our conservation portfolio through a donated fee purchase or conservation easement, or may include properties that are later sold.
