Red Brook Swamp Corridor
About Red Brook Swamp Corridor
In 2012, The Dan Hole Pond Watershed Trust acquired a conservation easement on Red Brook Swamp Corridor, 6 acres of land between Pine River State Forest and Duncan Lake in Ossipee. It includes extensive wetlands as well as upland forest and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. In 2021, Moose Mountains Regional Greenways merged with The Dan Hole Pond Watershed Trust and took over the conservation responsibility of this property. This property will remain in it’s open state to help protect the valuable wetlands that run into Duncan Lake.
