On March 5th, 10-11:30am, visit Branch Hill Farm in Milton Mills, NH for Winter Wonderland festivities and a day of fun in the snow. Bring your own snowshoes (We’ll have a limited number of youth snowshoes on hand), or bring a sled to use on the open field. There will be a short, guided-walk at the end of the day to enjoy the sights and sounds of winter before warmer weather arrives. Registration is required – this event is free for members of MMRG, and $15 per family for non-members.

On April 9th, 10am-12pm, join an Apple Grafting 101 workshop at Branch Hill Farm. Learn from their Executive Director (and experienced orchardist) Jared Kane on best practices for apple grafting. By the end of the class, each person will have completed grafting their own small apple tree to take home, using a scion (living shoot) collected from one of several varieties of local heirloom trees. If time and weather permit, the group will also take a short walk to tour the newly planted Preservation Orchard at Branch Hill Farm! This workshop is $10 per person, and limited to 20 people, so sign up early!

Celebrate Earth Day on April 23rd, 10-11:30am, at WidowMaker Farm in New Durham, NH, by creating recycled and natural material crafts! Materials will be on hand to make recycled seed planters and unique recycled bird feeders. Bring a photo of your own Earth Day cleanup for a special prize! Registration is required – this event is free for members of MMRG, and $15 per family for non-members. Rain date for this event is April 30th.

MMRG membership is achieved with a minimum $25 donation per family, per year. Membership entitles all family members to free event registration and other perks! All proceeds from events benefit MMRG’s conservation mission. Make sure to keep checking our website as more events are added!
